Trump Denies He Called White House A ‘Dump’

WASHINGTON (AP)– President Donald Trump rejected Wednesday that he called the White Home a “dump.”

Trump reacted on Twitter to an article published Tuesday on the website The story states a scene where Trump was talking with some club members at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. Trump supposedly told the members he checks out the property so often since “That White House is a real dump.”

Trump took to Twitter Wednesday night to reject he made the remark. “I enjoy the White House, one of the most lovely buildings (homes) I have ever seen,” he tweeted. “However Fake News said I called it a dump– ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE.”

Trump has invested almost every weekend of his presidency going to different properties he owns and leases, including Bedminster. He is expected to leave Friday on his first prolonged vacation from Washington because the inauguration– a 17-day getaway to the Bedminster club.
