ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC)–
A 15-year-old kid has actually died after being shot by an off-duty U.S. Custom-mades and Border Protection agent who was allegedly assaulted by the armed teen and 2 accomplices Friday night in Arcadia, authorities said.The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at a medical facility Saturday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. A 2nd suspect, age 14, remained hospitalized with gunshot injuries that were not dangerous.
The occurrence was reported at 8:13 p.m. Friday in the location of First Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, said sheriff’s Deputy Caroline Rodriguez.The customs agent was strolling on a pathway when he was assaulted from behind by the boys-2 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old, the LASD spokeswoman stated. One of the opponents apparently consistently struck the representative in the head as another pointed a weapon at him and demanded his residential or commercial property.”The victim thought the topics were going to rob and
shoot him so he recovered his department-issued handgun,”Rodriguez said.”The victim shot at the topics in an effort to defend himself.”Inning accordance with detectives, the armed teenager and one of his accomplices were struck by the representative’s gunfire. The third kid, who was unscathed, fled the scene on foot.The agent suffered bruising to his face however did not need medical attention.The injured suspects each sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were transported to a hospital.Arcadia law enforcement officer recuperated the 15-year-old teenager’s handgun at the scene, Rodriguez said.The boy who ranged from the scene was consequently found at a nearby home and taken into
